Married 2. 1677 to Helga Simonsdtr. Ringøy K. Farm 5 (1658-1735), "Vena-Helga" ("Beautiful-Helga") who was the last "ljospika1" in Kinsarvik. She was re-married 1701 to Jens Åmundson Lofthus Farm 5, he lived here.

1 Literally "light girl"; this has to do with an ancient ceremony, in church, I think, (at Christmas? New Years?) involving a girl wearing a kind of candelabra headdress with lit candles symbolizing something or other. [4]
